CiteMySite is a magnificent WP plugin that allows the user to select a text or even several options of text on a web page and then share the text and/or link to the highlighted text on perse social networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. When the user shares the particular highlighted text on the social networks, other users, besides seeing the text also see the link of the web page and when they click on that link, they would be re-directed to the particular web page and shall be scrolled to the marked text.

All the user has to do is select the text on the WordPress site and a layer of social network buttons shall appear, the user has to click on the social networks where he or she wishes to share the citation and there it goes with the link to the precise position of the citation on the web page! When someone clicks on the link, the particular web page opens and scrolled to the marked text.

This cross-platform citation sharing plugin integrates with all the major desktop and mobile browsers and delivers brilliant results.

CiteMySite offers you the opportunity to customize the plugin and modify it according to your preferences. You can select the color of the highlighted text; choose the anchor text for the link of the web page.

Important note: Current Google+ API does not allow the user to share predefined text on the network, but it does allow the user to share the link to precise position of the web page. Current LinkedIn API does not allow to save link to precise position of the page, but allows to share text of citation. Facebook and Twitter allow users to share both, the text and the link.
