Microthemer is a visual design plugin that gives non-technical WordPress users a way to customize the appearance of their WordPress theme. Microthemer is intended for WordPress users who demand near full design control but don’t necessarily have any knowledge of CSS .
Microthemer has been described as “WordPress theme options on steroids”. This is because the level of artistic control you can achieve with Microthemer is very high indeed. In fact, the level of control Microthemer gives you is probably more comparable to that of editing a CSS stylesheet than it is to even the most advanced design-focused Theme Options.

A Clarifying Note About Supported Themes & Plugins
If you know CSS , you can use Microthemer to customize ANY WordPress theme and ANY plugin (you just need to enter in the CSS selectors manually yourself).When I say this plugin supports the themes listed above, what I mean is that I’ve created tailor-made importable settings packs for these themes that make it possible for users who don’t know CSS to customize them. I refer to these importable settings packs as “Blank Slate Micro Themes”. They can be downloaded for free from Themeover’s blank theme repository.
When I add support for a new theme I actually do all the work via the Microthemer User Interface (which is 100% fluid and customizable). I just plug in a load of CSS Selectors which target the Theme’s unique HTML elements, classes and ids. I don’t actually modify Microthemer’s underlying code in any way. That’s why all you need is a knowledge of CSS to make Microthemer work with ANY theme or plugin.
Hopefully I’ve clarified things here, but if not, there is further discussion about this issue of Microthemer’s support for themes and plugins on the comments page for this plugin. Furthermore, most questions about what this plugin can or can’t do are normally answered by watching the “Complete Walk-through” video on this plugin’s live preview page or by watching the video below.
